The Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlandshelps other parties to get the best out of ourheritage. We are closely involved in listing, preserving, sustainably developing and providing access to the most valuable heritage in our country.

We are the link between policymakers, academics and practitioners. We provide advice, knowledge and information, and perform certain statutory duties that have been assigned to us. The Cultural Heritage Agency is at the heart of heritage management in the Netherlands.

The RKD – Netherlands Institute for Art History is a global knowledge institute and the central resource for the study of Dutch and Flemish art in the international context. The RKD operates as an independent international academic documentation and knowledge institute, interacting and working in close collaboration with other stakeholders in the field to reach its target audience all over the world.

Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg – or SRAL for short - is a leading insititute specialised in the conservation and restoration of paintings, sculptures, modern and contemporary artworks and historic interiors. The interdisciplinary collaboration between our various restoration specialists and researchers provide an integrated approach to conservation issues. Research, consultancy and education courses are also part of SRAL’s domain. SRAL is located in the former Wiebengahal on Avenue Ceramique, Maastricht. The public-viewing studio, where you get a clear view of SRAL’s work, is located in the Bonnefantenmuseum, Maastricht.
