Das Retabel in der Stadtkirche St. Reinoldi in Dortmund – Kulturerbe im Gespräch
The Altarpiece in St. Reinoldi Church in Dortmund – Cultural Heritage in Discussion
Public Conference
28-30 October 2024
The altarpiece in St. Reinoldi Church was imported around 1415 from the significant art metropolis of Bruges as part of the luxury goods transfer of the Hanseatic League to Dortmund's main church. It is considered one of the most important works of art preserved from the early 15th century in Northern Europe. In the summer of 2024, it was restored and scientifically examined. This serves as the occasion for an interdisciplinary conference where these results will be presented, new research will be reported, and a workshop will be conducted for knowledge transfer.
The conference is aimed at both a professional audience and the general public, including students. Interested individuals are warmly invited to attend. Registration is not required. The conference will be conducted in German.
